Felber's Near Speed of Light Travel
It seems like an exciting concept - a new solution of Einstein's equations predicts a means of traveling close to the speed of light. Since it doesn't depend on oddities like wormholes or spacetime bubbles, it may actually get done this century. Felber explains his ideas clearly in this interview. I think most people will have reservations, though, until it shows up in the mainstream media (no offense, Berkeley Groks).
